Sudan rebels claim raids on Blue Nile army bases
Khartoum - Sudanese rebels said Sunday they attacked two military bases in war-torn Blue Nile state, days after attending a round of peace talks
with the government. The Sudan Peoples Liberation Army-North raided the bases in Blue Nile last week "in retaliation for the aerial bombardment" of two towns, SPLA-N spokesperson Arnu Lodi said in a statement. Fighting flared in the state last month after the end of the rainy season, which leaves many roads impassable, despite both sides meeting at peace talks in Ethiopia until last week. Lodi said SPLA-N forces attacked a military camp in the town of Buk in central Blue Nile on Tuesday
"and managed to destroy one mounted land cruiser". The rebels launched another raid on a base 30km
from state capital Ed Damazin on Saturday, killing four soldiers, Lodi said.
In the second raid, one rebel was wounded and another captured, he said on Facebook. The insurgents launched the attacks in retaliation for government air raids on Chali and Yabus in southern Blue Nile. But Sudanese Armed Forces spokesperson Colonel Al-Sawarmy Khaled Saad told AFP the rebel claims
were "completely untrue". He said government forces had launched a ground attack on rebels as they massed troops in Yabus, in the far south of the state. Saad gave no indication of casualties. The unrest came after delegations from the government and rebels from South Kordofan and
Blue Nile ended peace talks in Addis Ababa on 18 November, with mediators saying they were "not too far from a deal". Fighting erupted in Blue Nile and South Kordofan in 2011 when former rebels from the SPLA-N took up
arms against Khartoum. The insurgents complained of neglect and discrimination by Sudan's Arab dominated

Pregnant woman & her partner caught having sex in hospital bed while waiting to have their baby induced.. But Why?!
So this couple thought they needed small fun before their baby arrive. Story is that a heavily pregnant woman and her partner were caught having sex in a hospital bed in the UK while waiting to have their baby induced, The mother and father were discovered by a cleaner who heard moaning coming from a private room on the maternity ward.
The worker told hospital bosses what she had found but was informed there are no rules against having sex on the ward at St Michael's Hospital, in Bristol. (picture above)
The hospital's policy is for frisky couples to put a 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door, The Sun reported.
A hospital source said: 'Other patients on the unit heard the commotion and were upset. The cleaner was utterly shocked. She was amazed to be told it was OK. The hospital's advice appears to be just to put a sign up - amazing.'
Like herbal remedies and eating spicy food, sex is said to help induce labour in some cases.
However, NHS advice says: 'You may have heard that certain things can trigger labour, such as herbal supplements and having sex, but there is no evidence that these work.
'Having sex won't cause harm, but you should avoid having sex if your waters have broken as there is an increased risk of infection.' Hmmmmm

Ebola Update Microsoft Co-Founder To Donate N16BN.. Money for good cause!
Allen had previously donated $26 million to the
effort but said that more needs to be done to
prevent the outbreak from becoming a global
epidemic
Amid calls by the World Health Organization for
an increase in aid to fight the current Ebola
outbreak, Microsoft co-founder, Paul Allen has
said that he will donate $100 million
(N16,466,977,124.08) to efforts against the
disease.
Allen had previously donated $26 million to the
effort but said that more needs to be done to
prevent the outbreak from becoming a global
epidemic.
Programs would also be created to train doctors
in Massachusetts and special containment units
would be built to evacuate anyone who gets
infected.
Allen said:
“The Ebola virus is unlike any health crisis we
have ever experienced and needs a response
unlike anything we have ever seen,”
“To effectively contain this outbreak and prevent
it from becoming a global epidemic, we must
pool our efforts to raise the funds, coordinate the
resources and develop the creative solutions
needed to combat this problem. I am committed
to doing my part in tackling this crisis.”
“We really wanted to increase the number of
health care workers in West Africa."
Allen joins colleague Bill Gates, who has

Ara: “I Cooked Everyday even as the Breadwinner in my last Marriage”, now Open to Dating Younger Guys. She's hurting !!!
39 year old drummer Ara ‘s 2 year marriage ended
in 2013 , and after discussing her regrets this
August, now she is opening up to Punch about
being a mumu (fool) for love, and her
newfound openness to dating younger men.
The Type of Wife She Was
“I am the most submissive wife. I am
‘mumu’ (fool) for love. You can ask my ex, he can
tell you. There was never a day I didn’t ask him
what I should cook even though I was the
breadwinner. I would always ask him what he
wanted. And whatever he said, if we didn’t have
it, I would jump on an okada and enter the
market to go and buy the stuff. I am a hopeless
lover.”
Dating Younger Men
“When I meet the right person and fall in love, I
will consider marriage. I really want to fall in love
again. I don’t believe in marriage just for its sake.
If a younger guy comes up to me, I don’t mind
dating the person. I don’t mind marrying
somebody who I am older than. I have spoken to
a couple of people and they don’t see anything
wrong with it. If the person has a mature mind
and is committed, then it is not a big deal.”
On the Status of her & her Ex’s Relationship
“We have a child together. My boy is six years
already. He has remarried. I am not envious that
he got married again. God forbid! When he calls
me, I always ask him if his wife isn’t around. I
would also ask him if his wife knows that I am
not interested in him. I don’t know her and I
don’t know her name. I wouldn’t want her to feel
I want to take her husband again. So I tell him I
hope the wife knows that I am not interested and
that his calling me is just to find out about his
son. I wouldn’t want to make any woman
unhappy.”

I had my wedding in an Anglican church, says Ikuforiji.. Yes! So what ni!!!
Eromosele Ebhomele
Speaker of the Lagos state House of Assembly ,
western Nigeria , Adeyemi Ikuforiji , on Friday
disclosed that he got married 29 years ago in
an Anglican church despite being a Muslim .
Ikuforiji , who is vying for the governorship seat
in the state and has obtained the form for the
position on the platform of the All Progressives
Congress ( APC ) has served as Speaker of the
state for close to 10 years.
While banishing any talks of religious
differences, Ikuforiji made the disclosure during
a ‘ thank you’ visit to the Diocesan Bishop of
Lagos Diocese and Dean Emeritus, Church of
Nigeria , Anglican Communion, Dr . Ephraim
Adebola Ademowo , for the support shown by
the clergyman all through the period he was
tried for financial misappropriation by the
court.
A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos had
weeks ago acquitted Ikuforiji , but the Economic
and Financial Crimes Commission, the
country’ s anti - graft body, has appealed the
judgement .
The Speaker , accompanied by his wife , Pastor
Mayowa, disclosed that while his travails
lasted, the Bishop told him that he will survive
the trial. “He always assured me to be calm
and to pray . He said God would take control
and indeed God took control as he rightly
said .”
A practising Muslim , Ikuforiji said by the
reason of marriage in the church , he and his
wife remained children of the Anglican
Communion.
“So we see you as a father and we are happy
to be with you. I thank you for all that you
have been doing, for your support and
assistance and also for your support and
assistance to government of Lagos state .

others who stand solidly behind the
government of Lagos state we can continue to
be hopeful that God in his infinite mercy will
take us to a higher height , ” the Speaker said .
Ikuforiji added that : “I deemed it fit to come
and say a big thank you to our father here for
the support he gave me over the years. Since
the issue of the EFCC investigations and the
court came up, he has always supported me
with prayers , good words, he is always
counselling me.
“He also showed very clearly that he trusted
me, he believes I was not the type that
detractors were trying to paint before the
world, and he was always reassuring me that
he knows that God would vindicate me at the
end.
“And I think now that the court has given its
ruling , it is right and proper to come and say
thank you. ”
Welcoming the Speaker to his residence at the
Bishop’ s Court , Marina , Ademowo
congratulated Ikuforiji over the outcome of his
case with the EFCC.
He described the Speaker as one who is close
to him and has only come on a courtesy visit .
He also prayed for Ikuforiji and his ambition

Hehehehe!!! Study Claims That Music from Beyoncé, Lil Wayne, T.I and More Makes You Dumb. I knew long ago.
A software developer, Virgil Griffith has taken it
upon himself to research and study music in
correlation with test scores.
He spent a significant amount of time correlating
the collective musical tastes of certain colleges
and universities with their students’ average SAT
scores .
His result shows that there are particular types of
music favoured by people with lower SAT scores
and a different type of music preferred by people
with higher SAT scores. Virgil Griffith believes this
is not a coincidence, and that certain music is
made for smarter minds.
Virgil Griffith has been undergoing his research for
the past 5 years and releasing new charts on and
off with new music stars using new data.
His latest chart to be released shows that people
who listen to songs by Beyonce, T.I, Lil Wayne,
Hip Hop, Justin Timberlake and a host of others
often get the lowest test scores while people who
listen to Eminem, Kayne West, Alternate Rock ,
U2, Norah Jones and more often get average test
scores. His graph shows that the highest test
scores are often gotten by people who listen to
Beethoven.

Protesters in hong kong votes govt proposal.
HONG KONG (Reuters) - Pro-democracy protesters in Hong Kong say they will hold a straw poll on government proposals they had rejected earlier in the week as the campaign in the Chinese-controlled city entered the fifth week on Friday.
With crowds likely to swell at the weekend, student leaders late on Thursday announced a plan for an electronic poll of protesters on reform proposals tabled by senior city government officials in talks on Tuesday that failed to break the deadlock.
"The government always says that the students don't represent the people in the plaza and Hong Kong citizens, so we are here to make all our voices heard and we will tell the government clearly what we think," Alex Chow, one of the students guiding the movement, told protesters late on Thursday.
Demonstrators would be asked whether the government's offer to submit a report to China's State Council, or cabinet, on the Occupy protests that have roiled Hong Kong, would have any practical purpose, with a bid to collating these responses to strengthen their bargaining position.
Friday marks the start of the fifth week since tens of thousands began blocking major roads to oppose to a plan by the Chinese central government to let Hong Kong people vote for their leader in 2017 for the first time but limit candidates to those vetted by a panel stacked with Beijing loyalists.
The United Nations Human Rights Committee on Thursday gave a boost to the protest movement by calling on China to ensure universal suffrage in Hong Kong, including the right to stand for election as well as the right to vote. Committee members voiced concerns about the right to stand without unreasonable restrictions, chiming with protester demands for civil nominations for the 2017 poll.
A chasm exists between the government and the protesters who have been calling for open nominations in 2017 and for the current leader, Leung Chun-ying, to step down. The government branded the movement's occupation of streets illegal and has repeatedly said open nominations are not allowed under the laws of the former British colony.
The talks on Tuesday marked a shift in the government's approach from stonewalling to dialogue, although expectations for a breakthrough had been low.
The poll to be held on Sunday would be the first potentially constructive response from the protesters after the student leaders emerged from the talks disappointed. They planned to hand the results to the government on Monday.
The poll will also seek views on the establishment of a platform for dialogue on constitutional development, and whether it should come into effect before 2017 as student leaders want.
"I am ready to vote any time. My demands have never changed but my expectations from the government have been lowered," said Lau Wah, a 21-year-old protester helping manning a provisions station amid a sea of tents at a major protest site.
Protesters would register for the poll, which would be restricted to occupied areas, with their phone number and Hong Kong identity card.
"We will use these figures to bargain with the government on Monday. We will be able to better represent the people and take the initiative on behalf of them," said Benny Tai, a law professor and one of the organisers of the "Occupy" movement.

The truth about most seminarians.
Patrick Donahue had been my closest friend since as long as I could remember. We were inseparable all through grammar school and our three years at Jesuit high. He'd been a little guy, much shorter than I, until we were freshmen. Then he shot up and out almost overnight. Grown ups thought he was adorable when he was little; now they were charmed by his poise and mature courtesy. Older girls once said he was "so cute" with his towhead, long eyelashes, and silver-blue eyes. Now that he was seventeen, women of all ages thought he was magnificent.
